THE MAKER

Rooted in the Earth

Aurelia Ceramics was born from a desire to reconnect with the physical world through the ancient medium of clay.

The Journey of a Piece

Throwing & Shaping

Raw clay is centered on the wheel and pulled into form by hand, ensuring no two pieces are ever identical.

Drying & Trimming

Once 'leather hard,' the piece is trimmed to refine the foot and create a balanced weight.

The First Fire

The kiln reaches 1800°F during the bisque fire, turning delicate clay into porous, durable stone.

Glazing & Final Fire

Each piece is hand-dipped in our studio glazes and fired again at 2200°F for a vitrified, food-safe finish.
